There is a superior wisdom above us, who doesn't act according to our wishes. When your efforts fail, turn to this wisdom through meditation. You will get startling answers and solutions you thought didn't exist."
Written in 2008 by S. Dasgupta --- India
I experienced this personally when I was repeatedly failing to publish papers with well-known refereed journals. I focused on the problem with regular meditation and success followed! We often face repeated failures in life, as I faced and we often give up the effort, thinking it's useless, thus forego a rare once-in-a-lifetime chance to make it big. It is at this juncture, that we must turn to meditation and prayers to get true answers from the superior wisdom: GOD. Yes! It can happen that the answer is: QUIT. But the efforts put on the failed project will certainly come in handy in another project; hard work never goes waste.

Do not waste good energy on something you cannot change."
My mother --- Submitted by Annette Lowe --- Australia
This was one of my dear mother's eternal, motivational, inspirational one liner's she said to us year after year. I used it then and continue to use it now; it helps me cope and move on in many situations.

"
Love is not just a feeling, but also a presence. I see and feel your presence everywhere. I hear you in my head. You are an inexorable part of me. You are my new conscience. A happy man can only be happy when he loves himself. I love my best parts most. And that's how I know I love you above all else."

"
The supreme prayer of my heart is not to be learned, rich, famous, powerful, or "good", but simply to be radiant. I desire to radiate health, cheerfulness, calm courage, and good will. I wish to live without hate, whim, jealousy, envy, fear. I wish to be simple, honest, frank, natural, clean in mind and clean in body, unaffected - as ready to say "I do not know", if it be so, and to meet all men on an absolute equality - to face any obstacle and meet every difficulty unabashed and unafraid. I wish others to live their lives, too - up to their highest, fullest, and best. To that end I pray that I may never meddle, interfere, dictate, give advice that is not wanted, or assist when my services are not needed. If I can help people, I'll do it by giving them a chance to help themselves; and if I can uplift or inspire, let it be by example, inference, and suggestion, rather than by injunction and dictation. That is to say, I desire to be radiant - to radiate life."

Problems and difficult times are sure to come our way, at one time or the other, as long as we remain flesh and blood. But having the understanding that our condition, at anytime in life, IS never our portion for a lifetime gives us the strength to press on."
Written in 2008 by Kingsley Ajoku --- Nigeria
I have come to know that every problem of life has an expiry date; though it lingers, it must pass in its time.

To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony."

"
We can all be angels to one another. We can choose to obey the still small stirring within, the little whisper that says, Go. Ask. Reach out. Be an answer to some one's plea. You have a part to play. Have faith. We can decide to risk that He is indeed there, watching, caring, cherishing us as we love and accept love. The world will be a better place for it. And wherever they are, the angels will dance."
