Kind and Loving Teenagers

Inspiring Kids

Do you want an inspirational story? Here's mine.

The kids at my high school were always moaning about how we didn't have a community service group at school to help out the community. I was sick and tired of listening to people complain so I decided to start one.

It was a lot of work, papers to fill out, and pleading with my principal but I got it started. I laid awake all night before the first meeting, praying and hoping that at least one other person would show up.

When I started the meeting after school, there were more than 25 kids there! I was so happy!

Today my club has more than 40 kids in it. We have helped at Special Olympics by helping handicapped people bowl, we are going to go Christmas caroling at a local nursing home, we will help with Habitat for Humanity, and we are even planning a workshop for gay rights and AIDS awareness.

It is a comfort to know that there are teenagers who are kind, good and willing to be involved.
